Melisa graduated in 2006 from Perry High School in Houston County and has just recently moved to the NW Atlanta area in the beginning of 2009, and plans to live here for many years to come. Melisa started working for Backyard Realty Group in June 2009 as the Administrative Assistant. Michael Schenker

Michael Schenker is a licensed professional with 30 years experience. He worked as an asset manager prior to moving to Atlanta, owning and managing residential properties. He possesses a wide variety of skills obtained through ownership, management, construction, renovation and maintenance of various types of properties.

He joined Backyard Realty in 2009 to strengthen the property management division and to help grow and develop an asset management department.

He is married, with two grown sons and three grandchildren. He and his wife reside in Marietta.

Jen Schingeck

Jen Schingeck holds a B.S. Degree from Kennesaw State University in Human Services. Jen has worked in the sales and management industry for several years prior to working at Backyard Realty Group in 2008 where her passion for Real Estate began. While advertising our rental properties to find prospective tenants her passion grew and she decided that she wanted to become a Real Estate Agent. Since then, Jen has received her Real Estate License. Previously, as the real estate assistant to Jason Tolley, Jen learned a lot about the profession and was very excited to become an agent. Jen and Jason have since formed a Real Estate Team called The Closers.

Jen relocated to the Kennesaw/Marietta area 5 years ago and loves the NW Atlanta. As a Michigan native, she is happy to be away from the snow and cold winters!

Jayme Kinsey

Jayme has been working for BRG since early 2008. Jayme is primarily responsible for assisting the community managers with their daily tasks but also handles the Accounts Receivable’s and works with the BRG homeowner website. In college, Jayme specialized in accounting but also took other general business classes. She has previously held accounting positions for both a restaurant and a construction company.

Jayme was born in New York, was raised in Central Florida and moved to North Georgia with her family in 2001. A year later, she relocated to Atlanta so her husband could attend school at Georgia Tech, where he received his degree in Architecture. They now have two children who are both attending elementary school here.

Jennifer Tartaglia

Jennifer is a community manager for Homeowners Associations within the Northern Atlanta Area. She holds a B.B.A. in Marketing and Management from Mercer University and plans to return for her MBA. Her career has focused around management and the real estate market for over 13 years. She is currently enrolled in the Barney Fletcher Real Estate School to obtain her selling license. She is excited about making this transition into a new branch of real estate and providing even more client support.

Jennifer relocated to the area about a year ago from Henry County, GA and is absolutely thrilled about what the north side of Atlanta has to offer. She is becoming very accustomed to the pride in homeownership and understands the importance of great management. She currently resides in Canton, GA with her husband and two children. She is a dedicated mother and loves the experience of learning new things. Having children and a family helps her relate to the needs of all of her clients and certainly understands the importance of home value, code of ethics, and what it takes to wear multiple hats to see a job through to completion.

Mike Tolley

Michael Tolley was in the US Navy for 21 years and during that time he bought properties, renovated and upgraded them and then rented the homes out. Through this process his passion for real estate started. After retiring from the Navy in 2003 Mike Tolley started Backyard Realty Group, LLC a full-service real estate company. Due to moving a lot with the Navy Mike soon learned what agents should NOT do and he has made sure to employ and teach agents to be the best that they can be! Mike not only runs Backyard Realty Group but also manages communities and works as an active agent.

Cynthia Ann Tolley

Cindy is the Office Manager for the Accounting Department, also Administrator for Rental Properties. She has more than 15 years experience in Finance, specializing in Secondary Finance (credit risk clients). Prior to this she worked in Credit and Collections for a major Automotive Finance Company.

Cindy is currently attending Saint Leo University to complete a Bachelor Degree in Business Management and plans to continue her education and complete a Master’s Degree.

Married with two children, her husband the owner of Backyard Realty Group, and both of her sons also employed at BRG until recently; one was inducted into the US Navy and is proudly serving our country. She is dedicated to her family and the Company and will continue to support the Company’s needs by providing the personal services that Backyard Realty Group is known for (Strength with a personal touch) as their motto states.

Jason has lived in the Kennesaw, Marietta, Acworth area for more than 10 years. He loves the NW Atlanta area and plans on living here for many years to come.
